The Brookfield Education Foundation funded a grant request from Kim Marshall at Whisconier Middle School to launch a new student-driven live broadcast program for daily morning announcements. This exciting program will allow students to take on various roles such as producers, directors, and anchors.
This initiative aims to enhance student engagement and foster a sense of community by replacing traditional loudspeaker announcements with a dynamic visual format. Participants will develop essential skills in broadcasting while exploring their interests in a collaborative environment. The program will begin in the winter of 2025 and will ensure continuity by allowing students from previous grades to transition smoothly into production roles.
Ultimately, this project supports critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication – the Brookfield C’s.
